So, I made posters, 4 altogether. "What about WTC7?" "Google 9/11. Ask Questions." (I made 2 of these). And, "Investigate 9/11."
Micah got home, I already had all 5 of the kids loaded in the van, along with water canteens and chairs for each, and we drove to Mt. Carmel and SR 60. (Basically the intersection adjacent to our neighborhood entrance). We parked in the Home Depot parking lot, gathered up all the courage we could, tied Savannah up in the baby Sleepywrap, unloaded, and went to the sidewalk.
We stood there and held up our signs for about twenty minutes, until the rain started to drop in large fat droplets. That was stress. It's like we marked ourselves with an outward sign with what those who already know us know. It was very hard, and probably one of the bravest things Micah and I have ever done.
I still feel those sad angry feelings of 9/11. Only now, I feel like for the first time since 9/11 I actually did the right thing on that anniversary day. I have no illusions that the American people will ever wake up and come to a realization of our awful situation (Ether 8:24), although I do have hope. I have accepted the fact that the terrorists that attacked us that day will "get away" with it. No one wants to believe something that would cause them to mourn exceedingly, even if it gives them knowledge (Mosiah 28:18). But one day, we will know all the secret acts of the rebellious (D&C 1:3), and I will stand before the Lord, and I'll remember the day I stood on the side of the road and held up signs that now label me as a "kook". Though I believe, and feel to know that I am right, that the official 9/11 story is a lie, I know that many I love disagree. The point is, when I felt the truth of my conviction, I would not be lukewarm in my actions (Revelation 3:15 & 16). Even in the face of public ostracism.
It was hard to do, but I am so glad I did it!
Excellent Documentaries about 9/11: In Their Own Words, Press For The Truth, The Obama Deception, and my absolute favorite one Truth Rising with Luke Rudowski the founder of the original WeAreChange movement. Watch them all, you can borrow them from me, or just watch one, but don't be afraid to ask questions!
